Unique Guest Book for your wedding

So I decided to start sharing some of my homemade wedding details.
Here is my guest book.
It is a shadow box lined with fabric and paper hearts that the guests signed.

  • Shadowbox frame (Michael's crafts with 40% off, I paid $25)
  • Fabric (Joann's with 40% off coupon, $2)
  • Coordinating Scrapbook Paper for hearts
  • 1 1/2 inch heart punch (Joann's with 40% off coupon)
  • Craft Glue
  • Spray Fabric Glue
  • Small Flat Paint Brush
Sorry I didn't take pictures while doing this, since it was a couple months ago, but here are the steps:
  1. Take backing of the shadow box frame and wrap it with fabric. Spray fabric with glue, spray board and attach :-)
  2. Cut heats out (you will have to calculate how many you will need based on frame size)
  3. Fold hearts in half, and using the paint brush and glue, spread glue on one half of the folded heart and place on the fabric backing. This leaves the other side pointing up in the air giving it a 3D appearance.
  4. Alternate glue side on each heart (see detailed pictures below)
  5. Save one spot for a red heart, if desired. I just printed on red scrapbook paper our initials and est. date and glued flat to the fabric.
  6. Repeat steps above, making sure to keep hearts straight. It isn't as hard as it seems.
Now it is ready for your guests to sign! Since you have to take it out of the frame for people to sign, I wrapped some lace around the edges while it was on display on the table to give it a more finished look (see below).
